According to a legend, the recipe comes from a drink used centuries ago by nomads of great prairie spreading south-west of Ural mountains and North East of Caspian sea. Interestingly, this is the place, where modern horse was originated and spread around, giving next push to civilisation. Legend tells that nomads used to carry the herb mix in their belt sacks, adding to it as they were wondering though endless plains and hills. It is hard to say how close the present formula is to the original belt sack herb mix. Apparently, the Eleuthero was included at a later times to intensify tonic qualities, since the plant is not generally native to these areas.
