Herbal teas on special order
Floraleads herbal teas are developed from traditional medicinal teas and combine herbs with synergistic and complimentary action. The teas are composed of raw herbs with minimal processing, and are provided loose in airtight jars to protect antioxidants and preserve volatile nutrients. Medicinal herbal teas contain herbs only, no flavors, colors, aromatizers or stabilizers. Blended herbal teas offer more consistent and stable health beneficial effect over the long time, when compared to mono herbal tea. Traditional herbal teas are not only alternative medicines, taken to help combat disease, maintain good health, improve metabolism and increase resistance to disease. Herbal teas offer enjoyable taste and natural appealing flavor.
Loose herbal teas are advantageous to tea bags in term of preservation of health beneficial nutrients, including volatile ingredients, flavonoids, glycosides, and protection against oxidation and decomposition. In fact, tea bags content undergoes numerous stages of processing, shaking and grounding during manufacturing and packaging, which may involve excessive heating. Caffeine and some other ingredients of regular tea can sustain manufacturing process and storage in paper bag, easily accessible to water and air oxygen. However, many health beneficial herbal constituents can not. To compensate for most obvious loss of volatile ingredients, tea bags frequently incorporate artificial flavors and other additives.

Making a good tea
Many herbal teas can stay for a day or two without significant loss of potency.
Do not refrigerate herbal tea - precious nutrients will precipitate and no longer be available for assimilation.
Microwave appears to be a good method of brewing for many herbal teas.
For most herbal teas - if you can not smell the tea aroma when the jar is open - the best days of that tea are gone.
"Nobody can teach you how to make the perfect cup of tea. It just happens over time. Wearing cashmere helps, of course"Jill Dupleix, "Old Food" 1998
